The Fifth Annual “Sway’s Way Modeling” ALLURE OF STYLE Fashion Show entitled; “Jamaican Me Crazy” is Bound to Showcase the culture, style, and elegance of Jamaica

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – On Sunday, August 21, 2011 at Embassy Suites, downtown
Montgomery at 7 p.m., Sway’s Way Modeling Group will once again host the single most
anticipated fashion event in the River Region. For the past five years, the Allure of Style fashion extravaganza has captured the imagination of the area’s most ambitious fashion designers, aspiring models, sought after photographers, and anticipating on-lookers.

Now, for the fifth and most exciting show of all, Sway’s Way founder Kenyetta Smiley is bringing the Montgomery area another taste of exquisite fashion – this time with a ‘Jamaican’ appeal. Smiley conceptualizes all of the themes to her annual fashion shows. From 2007’s show introducing Sway’s Way Modeling Group in black and gold, 2008’s Asian inspired “Shanghai Nights” theme complete with Geisha girls and traditional Asian garb, 2009’s exciting Mardi Gras theme complete with beads, masks, and a full marching band, to 2010’s Sways Angels inspired by “Victoria Secret 2010 Fashion show.” Smiley is always pushing the limits of creativity for her productions.

This year’s show, “Jamaican Me Crazy” is a cultural extravaganza, and a passport to Global Glamn featuring fashion inspiration from the World of Fashion. This journey allows you to see the potential & beauty that this World has to offer. Smiley shows are always a mix of cutting edge fashion, make-up, and hair. This year we have partnered with Montgomery AIDS Outreach Inc, (MAO) giving some proceeds to the organization and helping raise awareness of its cause.

Smiley said, “I owe it to the people who continually come out, year after year to support this production, to put on the best show I possibly can. I don’t take it for granted that people are going to spend their hard earned money to come out and support this fashion show. I take the production, marketing, and professionalism of this show very seriously. This is not your run-of-the-mill, thrown together fashion show. Allure of Style stands out for a reason. Months of planning go into this effort and at the end of the day it shows.”

Last year, more than 1,000 people came out to witness this amazing display of fashion from Willie Shanks of Birmingham, Perry Varner (DenHim and Leather), and other designers from Montgomery, Birmingham, Atlanta, and New Orleans, displayed their latest wears on the runway. This year, designers including J. Bolin, Lisa Porter (L’ Adeen Swimwear), and many more will have their fashions flaunted by more than 30 of the most experienced male and female models from all over along with scores of stylists, make-up artists, and designers.
