Stop Keystone XL
The Senate could vote as early as Tuesday on a deal that would green-light construction of the Keystone XL pipeline. After President Obama rejected the pipeline last month, Republican senators are rushing to resurrect it in order to protect their friends, Big Oil.
In the next 24 hours, the Center for Biological Diversity is joining 350.org and dozens of other groups in gathering more than 500,000 petitions asking senators to block the dangerous Keystone XL tar-sands pipeline.
The pipeline would have crossed more than 340 perennial water bodies and risk contaminating the Ogallala Aquifer — the main source of drinking water for millions of Americans. The pipeline also threatened Nebraska’s Sand Hills, the largest intact natural habitat left in the Great Plains ecosystem.
Time is running out! Please click below right now to add your name to a petition telling the U.S. Senate to reject any legislation permitting the Keystone XL pipeline in part or whole.

Please take action by noon EST, Tues., Feb. 14.
