Salsa Kids™ is offering dance scholarships for 5 girls & 5 boys.
Currently recruiting for kids/teens from 12-16 years old!!!

Isabelle's Dance Studio
1334 Lincoln Blvd
(between Santa Monica Blvd. and Arizona)
Santa Monica, CA 90401

Parking meters are available on Lincoln and Arizona
(Note:  Do not park in the Arby's parking lot)

Audition requirements:
Ages 12-16

*ATTIRE*
Wear clothing that is comfortable to move in.
Shoes that have a leather or suede sole are best.

Scholarship requirements:
Parents who are unable to afford (with proof of income)
dance classes, private lessons, choreography,
dance costumes, etc for their children. Your child will have to learn a
short choreography and perform in front of the instructor.
If selected as a winner of the scholarship, your child will
receive dance instruction/training and dance costumes free
of charge for a period of three months.
Your child is expected to attend all training sessions,
maintain a "C" grade average or better in school, perform at
public events in the community, and help promote this charity.

Rehearsals will be every Saturday.

Charlene Rose has successfully created a Company for partnering and ladies
styling teams, from Los Angeles to Santa Barbara to Seattle. Now, she wants
to develop young people to learn the enjoyable activity of salsa dancing
and performing. They will gain the foundation of dance and body movement
that will benefit them as they become adults, whether or not they choose a
career in dance.

Mission statement:
Salsa Kids™ is a nonprofit organization (with California
tax-exempt organizational status) dedicated to assisting
disadvantaged youth in the performing arts.

*About Charlene*
Charlene Rose is a well-known and respected influence in the Latin dance
scene, and has been maintaining a hectic schedule as an international
freelance dancer, teacher, choreographer, performer and role model for
audiences and students around the world. Charlene utilizes the extensive
training she received as a Dance Major at Cornish College of the Arts in
Seattle, Washington to provide the highest level of training and expertise
for her students and followers.  She also founded and directs her own
performance groups along the West Coast, which provides performance
opportunities and dance skills to salsa aficionados from the Amateur to
Professional level.

Some of Charlene's accomplishments include:
- 2011 Golden Salsa Award for "Best Female Salsa Dancer"
- 7X World Salsa Champion
- Semi-Finalist on FOX's "So You Think You Can Dance"
- Appeared on NBC's "America's Got Talent"

Charlene now resides in Los Angeles, CA where she continues to pursue her
passion for the arts, and she has added to her credits a sizable list of
films, television programs, music videos, commercials, modeling campaigns,
and theater productions.  She has choreographed for such prestigious shows
as "Dancing with the Stars", and worked with top choreographer such as
Napoleon and Tabitha.  Her goal with her art is to inspire and empower
people of all walks of life to follow their passions, and make their dreams
into reality, and she looks forward to many great triumphs to come.
